The art of living, the pleasures of home.....
When I came to Thornwall Properties in 2005, I brought to my new association a decades-long career in the arts and literature, as well as many years of experience in business management, contract negotiations, public relations and marketing.
A graduate of the University of California, Berkeley has been my home for more than twenty years. I have been a resident of neighborhoods ranging from north Berkeley to the hills, to central Berkeley, the Elmwood and West Berkeley. I was also an Oakland resident for five+ years, and have lived in San Francisco and the greater Bay Area since I was young. I have a teenager at Berkeley High School who was a student of both private and public elementary and middle schools in Berkeley, and am happy to share my knowledge of the Berkeley Unified School District.
I bring to my career as a Realtor® the same dedication, commitment and artistic sensibility I have always brought to my work and my life. I am a ‘people person’ and an experienced negotiator, with an ability to integrate differing needs and points of view. I pay meticulous attention to detail, and enjoy the research and creative solutions real estate transactions require.
In addition to a B.A. from UC Berkeley, I hold an M.F.A. in Writing & Literature from Bennington College in Vermont. I have traveled extensively throughout the world, am familiar with several languages, and speak French (passably!). Whether you are searching for your dream home, or looking for someone to assist in selling your home, I will bring to our work together my range of skills and my deep appreciation for the importance of home in all its meanings.
“…We love our house! We are so, so happy; it’s really been wonderful, so thank you for all your hard work and all your help in showing us 17,000 properties (seems like!) before we found the right one – but it is the right one and it was totally worth the wait!”

“Lorri was always gracious and supportive, with a very level temperament and many creative ideas on how to best present my home for sale. She very tastefully staged the house, presenting its best features for viewing. I consider Lorri a warm and caring human being and friend, not just a business woman. Selling a home can be a very personal matter, and Lorri was an excellent advocate for me and my home.”
–Dulcy W., Seller
“A lot of real estate agents probably would have written us off. Every week we saw something we liked, but not enough to make an offer; every other week we completely changed the location and price range of our search. We must have seemed like we didn’t have a clue about what we wanted. Lorri patiently guided us through the journey. She understands that looking for a house is a learning process. She made sure we had plenty of properties to choose from each week and helped us discover what we actually wanted and needed in a home. We were always aware that our satisfaction was her top priority.
Once we found our dream home (and it really is), she negotiated with the sellers and we came away with a great deal. She was thorough in making sure every “i” was dotted and “t” was crossed in the mounds of paperwork involved. She continues to follow up to make sure all the terms of the sale are completed. We can’t imagine making this all-important decision without Lorri’s expertise and support.”
